StorSimple: Tendency to Cloud the Silicon Valley
0If the cloud still scares in Europe and France in particular, it is binding on U.S. and cloud computing is now the norm in the young shoots of Silicon Valley.
So is it of StorSimple, which offers cloud storage solutions that integrate with
existing elements in the company. In the business model of the cloud, the cloud is often seen as the possible deportation of a little-used data in a vast “data guard” outside the company. StorSimple tries to reverse this view by saying that companies can keep data on inexpensive media and take advantage of its storage technologies in the cloud for the most useful data.
Vision “safety data” was the result of the current limitations of technologies such as low performance WAN, latency unpleasant to use and integration issues with the public clouds or existing businesses. Do not talk about compliance with regulations!
Based on a technology block, StorSimple proposes to overcome these difficulties. The data is divided into blocks that are analyzed and classified by their usage or other criteria. The most used are directed towards high-performance SSDs, the least used for their storage media SATA in the cloud. Data are submitted just before a real-time deduplication on the fly. The data in the cloud are encrypted and optimized.
